Practical Theology Corner (P.T.C.)
There are a lot of questions that we might have in life. Let’s be honest, there’s a lot in the Bible! It can be overwhelming sometimes trying to apply scripture to our lives. Sometimes it can almost feel like a challenge to even know where to start. That’s where Practical Theology is so helpful.
Practical Theology can sound intimidating, but it is not. Theology can be simply defined as, “the study of God.” Practical Theology then is, “the study of God practically applied to our daily lives.” Practical Theology is focused on trying to take complex topics and make them applicable. Some examples of this are Missions (Missiology), the Church (Ecclesiology), Counseling, Apologetics, and Evangelism.
There is an even more practical part of Practical Theology. What do we do when faced with questions that aren’t directly addressed in the Bible? The P.T.C., or Practical Theology Corner is designed to help us as we wrestle with questions in our world. We will endeavor through blog posts to cover topics that apply to our daily lives, some discipleship plans that can be helpful as we make disciples, and some overviews of Biblical books that can help us as we walk with the Lord. Our prayer for the Practical Theology Corner is that we can encourage you as you walk with the Lord daily by making some difficult topics a little bit easier.
