What to
Expect

  • At Cornerstone, you will find a diverse biblical community of people seeking to love Jesus and serve their city as Jesus would. Some who attend Cornerstone are simply asking questions about Jesus and Christianity for the first time, while others have spent much of their lives in a local church. Cornerstone members stretch across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome.

  • You are the reason we exist. Cornerstone is a great place to ask questions and it is a comfortable place for anyone who is curious about Jesus. At Cornerstone we study and apply what the Bible teaches.

  • We’re authentic. We design our worship services to be a place for people to meet with God.

One of our greatest privileges as followers of Jesus is being able to communicate directly with God through prayer. As we start our morning services, we typically spend a few minutes in prayer.

During our worship service, our worship team will lead us in a songs. Our worship team seeks to balance new music with some of the great hymns of our faith. As we sing, the focus is on Jesus! Feel free to sing joyfully and loudly with us!

The Bible is God’s gift to us! It is our guide for life and death. Every week our Pastor will teach directly from the Bible in a challenging and practical way. We encourage you to bring your Bible with you. If you do not have one, feel free to use one of ours or a Bible app on your electronic device.

  • At Cornerstone, you’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like. There is no set dress code, although the attire is more on the casual side.

  • You can connect with any of our volunteers in the lobby and they will be happy to refer you to community groups and provide you with a welcome gift that includes details for more events and opportunities for connection. Pastor Daniel would love to meet you and will be available before and after our service! If you have any questions, please email us at office@cornerstonesavoy.org.

  • Absolutely you can! We are a welcoming place for people who are curious about Christianity or who are seeking to belong to a community of believers.

  • You can email office@cornerstonesavoy.org for more information.

  • We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M. We also have community groups during the week. If you want more information on those, please contact us at office@cornerstonesavoy.org.

  • Cornerstone is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and are a vital part of every local church. Children from birth to 5th grade go to our Cornerstone Kids classes where they receive age-appropriate teaching from an amazing team of adults. The environment is clean and safe. Each adult worker has completed a background check and is qualified to engage your child.

Our Nursery and Children’s Church meets during our service.

In our childrens’ ministry, kids find a safe place where they can learn about Jesus, make friends, and are encouraged and prayed for.

The health of our church can be measured by the spiritual growth of our members, including the youngest ones. We desire to partner with parents in the Biblical upbringing of children in our Kid’s Ministry: our ministry for kids ranging from newborns through 5th grade. Our Children’s Ministry is dedicated to engaging each child in Bible teaching and encouraging them in reinforcing a scriptural foundation in their lives.

We welcome children in our main service if they do not feel comfortable being separated from their parents.

  • We want to do a great job in partnering with you to see God grow, save, and mature your child as a disciple of Jesus. It is understandable and age appropriate as it conveys the big truths and the great news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We would love for you to talk with your kids about what they learned!

Your child will be taught that Christianity is about Jesus and what He has done for us. We want the good news of the Gospel to capture and change your child’s heart. As we share with your child more and more of what Jesus has done for each of us, our prayer is that their hearts would grow to love Him more.

  • We consider it our responsibility to create a safe environment for children to learn about Jesus. Each team member must first go through training before serving in one of our classrooms or small groups. This includes a background check (re-checked every 3 years), sexual abuse training, and training on Cornerstone Kids policies and procedures. We also adhere to current Ministry Safe worker-to-child ratios for each of our classrooms.

  • To prevent the spread of sickness, please do not drop your child off in our Kid’s Ministry with any of the following conditions: Fever in the last 24 hours, vomiting or diarrhea, persistent cough, cloudy or green runny nose, any unexplainable rash, symptoms of eye infection (gunk around the eyes, pink/red eyes, lots of drainage or tearing), or signs of lice.

If our team members notice any of the following symptoms in your child, you will be asked to pick them up.
